Sheldon had won ten straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 11-0 to make it 11. They enjoyed a cozy 31-13 victory over the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack. The Huskies pushed the score to 31-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolfpack cut but never quite recovered from.

A big part of Sheldon's win came down to the chemistry between Saniah Wiley and her top target Lia Fleming. Wiley threw for 216 yards and five touchdowns while Fleming picked up 83 receiving yards and three TDs. Those 83 receiving yards gave Fleming a new career-high.

Sheldon's run defense was locked in: Cosumnes Oaks could only muster 2.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Jayla Woodard for the heroic effort on defense: she. Sheldon's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.2.

Sheldon's defense didn't let Avery Nogosek., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Calista Pham.

As for Cosumnes Oaks, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. Having soared to a lofty 36 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

When it comes to explaining why Cosumnes Oaks lost, don't look at Abby Greene. Despite the final result, she picked up 109 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also rushed for 41 yards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sheldon will head out to face off against Elk Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Thundering Herd's defense has only allowed 12.3 points per game this season, so the Huskies' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they will challenge Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
