Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brooke Johnston and Grayson Taylor Lead Covenant Christian Academy to Victory

Covenant Christian Academy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bible Baptist Christian Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Eagles last Saturday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Covenant Christian Academy was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-15, 11-25, 25-17.

Leading Covenant Christian Academy to victory were Grayson Taylor and Brooke Johnston. Taylor had four digs and three aces, while Johnston had 20 digs and two aces. Those 20 digs gave Johnston a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Covenant Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. They are a perfect 6-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Covenant Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Covenant Christian Academy will challenge The Stonehaven School at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they will square off against Peoples Baptist Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
