Softball Recap: Eufaula Comes Up Short

After flying high against Highland Home on Thursday, Eufaula came back down to earth. The Eufaula Tigers lost 10-1 to the Opp Bobcats on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Eufaula saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zy'Kayla Robinson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Eufaula's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Opp, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Eufaula didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-2 loss against Wicksburg on the 14th. As for Opp, they have also already played their next match, a 4-3 defeat against Dothan on the 15th.
