Baseball Game Preview: White County Warriors vs. North Hall Trojans

White County is 1-9 against North Hall since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The White County Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Hall Trojans at 5:55 p.m.

White County will bounce into Friday's game after beating North Hall, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. White County had just enough and edged out North Hall 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since February 28th.

Grant Gooch tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, White County's win was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Shelton Ramey, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, Ramey posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February. Another was John Bannon, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

White County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

White County's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for North Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
