Baseball Recap: Manheim Central Takes a Loss

Manheim Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cedar Crest Falcons.

Manheim Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zion Rolon, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Brody Groff also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Manheim Central's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Cedar Crest, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manheim Central will head out to face off against Garden Spot at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cedar Crest, they will venture away from home to square off against Lampeter-Strasburg at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Cedar Crest will need to watch out since Lampeter-Strasburg has now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups.
