Poth is 7-2 against Luling since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will head out to take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Poth is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
On Friday, Poth got the win against Stockdale by a conclusive 12-2. Considering the Pirates have won 18 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Reese Urbanczyk spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ava Kroll was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Serna, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Poth kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in eight consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Luling gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They walked away with a 9-6 win over Nixon-Smiley. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won four in a row.
Luling also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Nedeyin Magallanez gave up just two earned (and four unearned) runs on two hits and racked up 16 Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Braelyn Hall, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Stevie West also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
The win got Luling back to even at 12-12. As for Poth, their record now sits at 23-6.
Everything went Poth's way against Luling when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Poth made off with an 8-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
