While Minico's win against Wood River wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Wolverines 12-10. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won four in a row.

Dominic Garza was incredible, going 2-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had over his last 11 matches. Will Cofer was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Minico kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Minico's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Wood River, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-10.
