Baseball Recap: North Augusta Takes a Loss

North Augusta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 8-3 to the Greenwood Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-2 last Wednesday.

North Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Greenwood, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Augusta will venture away from home to face off against South Aiken at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greenwood, they will head out to take on Greenville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Red Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.27 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
