Basketball Recap: Coral Academy of Science - Reno Comes Up Short

Coral Academy of Science - Reno was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 45-36 to the Oasis Academy Bighorns. The Falcons lost against the Bighorns in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 61-21 score last time.

Fenn Mackedon was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 24 en route to 23 points along with eight rebounds and six steals for Oasis Academy. That makes it six consecutive games in which Mackedon has scored at least a third of Oasis Academy's points. Trevor Barrenchea was another key player, putting up six points in addition to nine boards and four steals.

Coral Academy of Science - Reno's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Oasis Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
