Basketball Recap: Westville Blackhawks vs. Portage Christian
The Westville Blackhawks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 80-24 victory over Portage Christian on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Westville has managed all season.
Kaden Pepper was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gavin Hannon, who scored six points along with six assists and six steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Westville and bumps their season record up to 8-9. As for Portage Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-18.
Westville will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Warriors at 1:30 p.m. Winamac will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Portage Christian, they will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
