Soccer Game Preview: Port St. Joe vs. Mosley

The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks will take on the Mosley Dolphins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Port St. Joe's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Port St. Joe's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Leon on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Tiger Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 349th, while the Lions are ranked 153rd).

Meanwhile, Mosley kept a clean sheet against Arnold on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Marlins with a sharp 5-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Dolphins, who have now won six matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Mosley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Port St. Joe, they now have a losing record at 8-9-1.

Port St. Joe suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Mosley when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Port St. Joe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
