Baseball Recap: Boulder Creek Jaguars vs. Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions
Boulder Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mountain Lions from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Chase Lile was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in March.
On the hitting side, Boulder Creek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Nicolosi, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
Boulder Creek's record now sits at 4-11. As for Mountain Ridge, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.
