League recap: Baker throws longest pass in league this season for Fort White

Andrew Baker and Trey Phillips provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Trinity Catholic. The longest such play in 3A District 3 this season, the connection resulted in 96 yards.

The Celtics extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Fort White, 21-19. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.

Reid Carlton and Demonta Blunt gave John Brantley's team a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Carlton threw for 181 yards and three touchdowns, while Blunt ran for 100 yards. Teammate Joe Sandstrom added to the ground attack by rushing for 60 yards.

Phillips was the best wideout in the league this week as the Indians lost to the Celtics. Phillips racked up four receptions for 85 yards.

Fort White's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Baker has thrown for 1492 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Phillips has 35 catches for 443 yards. Tavaris Williams leads the league in rushing with 775 yards.

Fort White fell 21-19 to Trinity Catholic in the closest game of the week. Baker was a bright spot for Demetric Jackson's team, as he threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.
