After flying high against South Effingham last Monday, Evans came back down to earth. The Evans Knights took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Statesboro Blue Devils on Friday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2020.

Despite the loss, Evans still got an impressive performance from Jeremy Howard, who rushed for 163 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Those 163 rushing yards gave Howard a new career-high.
