            For the second straight game, Crescenta Valley will face off against Arcadia. The Falcons will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Apaches  at 7:00  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (Crescenta Valley 2.6, Arcadia 1.9) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
Tuesday just wasn't the day for Crescenta Valley's offense. They took  a  3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arcadia on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12  runs in the game before, the Falcons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
For Arcadia's part,  not much got past  Gus Cooper, who gave up just  five  hits to keep Crescenta Valley off the board. Cooper has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Julian Salmon was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.
 The  victory (which was Arcadia's tenth in a row) raised their record to 23-2. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Crescenta Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-6.
