Softball Game Preview: Chester County Eagles vs. Jackson Christian Eagles

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Thursday.

Chester County lost 15-6 to Crockett County on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Jackson Christian came up short against Dyersburg on Tuesday, falling 13-3.

Bailey Robinson put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Robinson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Robinson wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Carley Holt, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Chester County now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Jackson Christian, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

Chester County suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Jackson Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can Chester County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
