Softball Recap: United Takes a Loss

United lost against Medina Valley back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Longhorns came up short against the Panthers, falling 17-7. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

United saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tatiana Mejia, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3.

United's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18-1. As for Medina Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.

United will host Eagle Pass at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Longhorns surely won't give up without a fight. As for Medina Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge United South at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
