Nightmute Elitnaurviat extends road losing streak to five

This season hasn't been kind to the Nightmute Elitnaurviat Nighthawks, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were dealt a 57-18 loss at the hands of Chaputnguak on Saturday. Nightmute Elitnaurviat has not had much luck with Chaputnguak recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Chaputnguak's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Tirchick, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Darren Mathew, who scored ten points.

Nightmute Elitnaurviat dropped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Chaputnguak, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Nightmute Elitnaurviat will head out on the road to challenge Nuniwarmiut at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday. Nuniwarmiut is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Chaputnguak, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Chief Paul Memorial at 9:30 p.m. on January 27th. Chief Paul Memorial will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
