Softball Recap: Marlborough Comes Up Short

Marlborough was the 14-2 winner over North Middlesex Regional when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 6-5 on Monday.

Shauna Bopp made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Avery Horrigan was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Marlborough now has a losing record of 6-7. As for North Middlesex Regional, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-11.

Coming up, Marlborough will head out on the road to face off against Nashoba Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Middlesex Regional, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shepherd Hill Regional at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
