Basketball Recap: Westtown vs. Academy of the New Church Lions

Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (59), Westtown still had to take the loss.
Academy of the New Church's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dior Carter, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. Carter is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Bryce Rollerson, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 20 points in addition to six assists and six rebounds.
Westtown is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7. As for Academy of the New Church, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-9.
Westtown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Academy of the New Church, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Academy of the New Church Lions face off against the George School Cougars at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. George School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Academy of the New Church likes a good challenge.
