Football Recap: Carbon Hill Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Carbon Hill extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They were dealt a 56-12 defeat at the hands of the Phil Campbell Bobcats. The Bulldogs lost against the Bobcats in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 34-12 score last time.

Dayton Miller threw for 269 yards and a pair of TDs. Marcus Pierce was his top target, picking up 83 receiving yards and one score.

As for Phil Campbell, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3. That 44 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Phil Campbell found their leader in sophomore Braxton Downey, who rushed for 58 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries.

Coming up, Carbon Hill will head out on the road to square off against Midfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Phil Campbell, they will host Gordo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
