Dexter had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They skirted past the Arcadia Valley Tigers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bearcats have posted since September 23, 2024.

Dexter wouldn't go down easily and took Arcadia Valley into a fifth set where they got it done with a ten-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-23, 25-17, 14-25, 15-5.

Dexter's offense was headlined by Mauriona Menley and Klaire Essner, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Brooklyn Goodman and her 17 assists.

Dexter will square off against Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arcadia Valley, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Farmington on the 3rd.
