Baseball Recap: Solorio Comes Up Short

Solorio was the 12-3 winner over Kenwood when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sun Warriors took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos on Wednesday. The Sun Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Josiah Saucedo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits.

On the hitting side, Solorio saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keiber Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Solorio's record now sits at 7-13. As for Kenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-1 record this season.

Kenwood will take on Lindblom at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Solorio will be paying especially close attention to the Broncos' match: after the Broncos face off against the Eagles, they'll take on Solorio again at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
