Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Solon). They blew past the Riverside Beavers 8-0 on Saturday. Give Solon's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Riverside from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Rowan Hirsh led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Solon's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Solon will square off against Stow-Munroe Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stow-Munroe Falls will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Solon surely won't give up without a fight. As for Riverside, they will be playing at home against Mayfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give Riverside their first taste of in-conference action this season.
