Football Recap: Vance County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Vance County fell victim to Wake Forest and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 53-0 loss at the hands of the Cougars. The Vipers just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Marcus Thomas threw for 40 yards on six of 16 attempts.

Micah Olu was his usual excellent self, rushing for 102 yards and five scores for Wake Forest. Those five rushing touchdowns gave Olu a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Stefen Tabon, who rushed for 122 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

Vance County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Wake Forest, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-4.
