Soccer Recap: Pickens Takes a Loss

If Pickens was riding high fresh off their 6-1 takedown of Blue Ridge last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Pickens fell just short of the Berea Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Pickens were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Berea apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Pickens' loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Berea, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pickens will welcome Greer at 7:15 p.m. on the 25th. Pickens' defense better be ready for this one: Greer has averaged an impressive 4.8 goals per game this season. As for Berea, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Daniel at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th.
