Baseball Recap: Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Drops Season-High Score on Mojave

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Democracy Prep Agassi Campus). They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Mojave Rattlers on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Blue Knights needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Marvin Marshall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Deandri Cummings was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those hits marked the first that he got this season. Another player making a difference was Kevin C, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Democracy Prep Agassi Campus was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Democracy Prep Agassi Campus' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Mojave, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Democracy Prep Agassi Campus will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rattlers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
