North Davidson won the last time they faced West Davidson and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Black Knights walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Dragons. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Black Knights.

Gentry Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bryton Zimmerman was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Summer Sheek, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

North Davidson's record now sits at 11-5. As for West Davidson, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Davidson will welcome Montgomery Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Davidson, they will be playing at home against South Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season.
