Soccer Recap: Ida Baker Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ida Baker can now relate to. They lost 6-1 to the Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons on Friday. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Nancy Jaquiss, who's now up to eight this season.

Ida Baker's loss dropped their record down to 6-11-2. As for Charlotte, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-1-4 record this season.

Ida Baker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Charlotte, they will square off against Palmetto Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Palmetto Ridge knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Charlotte likes a good challenge.
