Berthoud had a senior duo take command as Bella Shelton had 16 digs and one assist and Morgan Brown had 18 assists. Those 18 assists set a new season-high mark for Brown.
Berthoud was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Severance made easy work of Wellington on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Silver Knights haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
While Severance won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-20.
Berthoud better focus on containing Dalaynie Loftin and Micaela Nethery as the pair were huge in Severance's win. Loftin had 17 assists and seven digs, while Nethery had 12 digs and two aces. Those 12 digs gave Nethery a new career-high.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: Berthoud has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 11.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Severance struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Berthoud took their victory against Severance in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
