Football Recap: Maine West Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Maine West's offense. They were outmatched by the Highland Park Giants and fell 41-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered against the Giants since October 7, 2016.

Nathan Abebe threw for 33 yards on three of seven attempts. On the ground, Louis Avalos rushed for 38 yards.

Maine West's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Highland Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Maine West has already played their next contest, a 49-0 victory against Maine East on the 10th. As for Highland Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 38-13 win against Niles North on the 10th.
