Baseball Recap: Fabens Comes Up Short

Fabens extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 2-3. They fell 6-3 to the Hanks Knights. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly three runs.

Fabens saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ivan Luna, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

As for Hanks, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.

On Hanks' side, Christian Zuniga was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three doubles, and two runs. Those stolen bases marked the first that Zuniga has snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Meneses, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Looking ahead, Fabens will take on Alamogordo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hanks, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Montwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
