Volleyball Game Preview: Kellis Cougars vs. Salpointe Catholic Lancers

The Kellis Cougars will take on the Salpointe Catholic Lancers in a tournament on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Kellis came up short against Arizona College Prep on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Kellis was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Arizona College Prep's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-19, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Salpointe Catholic faced ALA - Gilbert North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Salpointe Catholic fell 3-1 to ALA - Gilbert North. The Lancers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Salpointe Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Kellis, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
