 In what's become a running theme this season, Moriarty gave their fans yet another huge  victory in Saturday's  first game. They put the hurt on the Espanola Valley Sundevils with a sharp  17-8 win. Moriarty's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
  Isabella Gallegos was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and six unearned) runs off   seven  hits (and only one walk). Gallegos was also big at the plate,  scoring five  runs and  stealing three bases while going 4-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Kristina Means was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-5.  Shae Rios was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 On Espanola Valley's side,  Leah Vigil made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Vigil has been hot recently, having posted three or more  hits the last four times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Aria Chavez, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
 Moriarty's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Espanola Valley, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 5-12.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Moriarty beat Espanola Valley by a score of  9-8 later that day.
