Soccer Game Preview: Grand County vs. South Summit

The Grand County Red Devils will take on the South Summit Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grand County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1 goals per game this season.

Grand County is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Beaver just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Tuesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Beavers who were credited with the win. Beaver got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Grand County's two.

Ella Munger and Ellie McGuffee scored both of the Red Devils' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

South Summit's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on American Prep WV with a sharp 7-0 victory. South Summit might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by four goals or more this season.

Grand County's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for South Summit, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
