Basketball Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Thomasville Bulldogs 62-34. Trinity lost against Thomasville in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 77-70 score last time.

Despite the loss, Trinity still got an impressive performance from Nazir Staton, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zy'Iveon Holmes, who put up four points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Thomasville, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.

Trinity wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-45 loss against Eastern Guilford on the 27th. As for Thomasville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-36 defeat against Randleman on the 27th.
