Football Game Preview: Jones County Coyotes vs. New Underwood Tigers

The Jones County Coyotes will venture away from home to square off against the New Underwood Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jones County hasn't scored more than 12 points for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Jones County is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Wall on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Coyotes took a blow against the Eagles, falling 50-0. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Eagles are ranked second).

Meanwhile, New Underwood was beaten by Lyman 64-20 on Friday.

Jones County's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for New Underwood, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-5.
