Basketball Game Preview: Evans Knights vs. Augusta Prep Cavaliers

The Evans Knights will challenge the Augusta Prep Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Evans has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 212 points over their last three games.

Evans lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Augusta Christian, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Knights blew past the Lions 81-28 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 21-21 at halftime, Augusta Prep was not quite Piedmont Academy's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 55-47 to the Cougars.

Evans will have to keep a close watch on Austin Luke and Nathan Shepherd, a pair of players who had a big impact on Augusta Prep's prior game. Luke posted 16 points, while Shepherd scored 13 points.

Augusta Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Evans, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
