Preview: Ansonia Tigers vs. Lockland Panthers
The Ansonia Tigers will be playing at home against the Lockland Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ansonia will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak alive.
Ansonia can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They breezed by Mississinawa Valley at home to the tune of 46-6. Given Ansonia's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 216th, while Mississinawa Valley is ranked 676th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Lockland gave up the first points last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They secured a 27-22 W over Clark Montessori. The win was just what Lockland needed coming off of a 41-0 loss in their prior game.
Damien Dawson had a dynamite game for Lockland, rushing for 285 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 172 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Mouhamed Tall, who picked up 38 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Ansonia to 10-0 and Lockland to 5-5.
