Softball Recap: Gray-New Gloucester Takes a Loss

Gray-New Gloucester came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to the Freeport Falcons. The Patriots have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Gray-New Gloucester's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Freeport, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Gray-New Gloucester will face off against rival Leavitt at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Freeport is set to challenge their familiar foe Gardiner at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
