New Bern Christian Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Epiphany Falcons with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. New Bern Christian Academy was shut out 3-0 the last time they took on Epiphany, so New Bern Christian Academy was just returning the favor.

New Bern Christian Academy never let Epiphany on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-21.

New Bern Christian Academy's offense was headlined by Alli Anderson and Susan Williams, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Kaiden Coghill and her ten assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.
