Baseball Recap: Cox Mill Comes Up Short

Cox Mill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the Charlotte Latin Hawks.

Cox Mill got a good showing from Jacob McCarter, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

At the plate, Tyler McBee made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

Cox Mill's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Charlotte Latin, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Looking ahead, Cox Mill is taking a road trip to square off against South Iredell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Charlotte Latin, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Charlotte Christian at 6:45 p.m. The Knights will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
