Worth County takes loss despite strong efforts from James Raymond and ASHTON WILLIAMS

Recap: Worth County Rams vs. Sumter County Panthers

The Worth County Rams pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Sumter County 62-58. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Worth County in their matchups with Sumter County: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the defeat, Worth County had strong showings from ASHTON WILLIAMS, who scored 20 points, and James Raymond, who scored 19 points. Raymond continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

Worth County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Sumter County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.

Worth County will look to defend their home court on Friday against Berrien at 7:30 p.m. Berrien is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Sumter County, they will head out on the road to square off against Jeff Davis at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jeff Davis is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.4 points per game.
