Volleyball Recap: Covenant Day Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Covenant Day was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Carmel Christian on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Gaston Day Spartans on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.

While Covenant Day ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-17.

Covenant Day dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Day will welcome Westminster Catawba Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gaston Day, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lee Park Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
