Baseball Game Preview: Frankfort Redbirds vs. Harrisburg Bulldogs

Frankfort is 2-8 against Harrisburg since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Redbirds will challenge the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m.

Frankfort is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since March 18th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Anna-Jonesboro by a score of 9-7.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Harrisburg made sure to put some runs up on the board against Herrin on Tuesday. The Bulldogs blew past the Tigers 13-3. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Harrisburg's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-8. As for Frankfort, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Frankfort might still be hurting after the 14-0 defeat they got from Harrisburg in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. Can the Redbirds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
