Football Recap: Shadow Ridge Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Palo Verde

On Friday, Shadow Ridge faced Palo Verde in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Shadow Ridge Mustangs took an 18-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Palo Verde Panthers. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Although Shadow Ridge took the loss, they still got scores from Savanna McDow and Jaylani Palmer.

Samantha Manzo had an outrageously good game for Palo Verde as she picked up 57 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 30 yards and one touchdown.
