Softball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Glenn

Glenn entered their tilt with Breckenridge on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Huskies 11-1. The Bobcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Huskies, too.

Dani Weiss tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Eliana Wilkinson was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Gabi Mezey was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Glenn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Breckenridge only posted an OBP of .227.

Glenn pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.2 runs over those games. As for Breckenridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season.

Glenn will have a chance to go back-to-back against Breckenridge: the pair will be back at it again later today.
