Softball Recap: Christopher Cougars vs. Los Molinos Bulldogs
With a playoff game on the line, Christopher rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Los Molinos Bulldogs a 6-0 shutout. Considering Christopher has won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Christopher got a great performance from Chanel Lucio as she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Melissa Lugo was a standout: she scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenessa De La Cruz, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
On Los Molinos' side, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karina Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with a triple.
