If Hamilton County was riding high fresh off their 24-0 takedown of Eldorado on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Foxes fell just short of the Salem Wildcats by a score of 12-10 on Saturday. The Foxes' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Kelsie Ashcraft was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Addison Kelley was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Hamilton County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Salem, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

Hamilton County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-1 victory against Trico on the 12th. As for Salem, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Waltonville on the 12th.
