Basketball Recap: Chapelgate Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Chapelgate Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost to the Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests at home by a 61-47 margin.

Defeat or not, Chapelgate Christian Academy got some senior leadership from Mason Plater and Bryson Milledge. Plater went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points and eight rebounds, while Milledge went 5-for-11 on his way to 15 points. Plater continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Ian Basumalick also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Even though they lost, Chapelgate Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. This was only their 17th loss (out of 24 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Chapelgate Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-23. As for Sandy Spring Friends, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-21 record this season.

Chapelgate Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sandy Spring Friends, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pallotti at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Sandy Spring Friends' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 matchups.
